I sat between la source and eau rouge and the drivers do know how to drive in the rain, it was almost malaysian gp 2009 conditions down there. thats why they crashed.

i was a spectator at that race sitting at the bus stop chicane. It was freezing cold that weekend brrrrr :-x

haha why was the cameraman at 4:30 just pointing his camera at the ground?

Conclusion: motorsport is flipping BORING without commentary!

oh yes, i am sorry. i forgot you were a better wet race driver than the entire gp2 grid. i beg my pardon.

@slidel211288 I know what is going on. They dont know how to race in the rain. If they went around 20mph they wouldnt have NEARLY as much crashing.

you need to learn what's going on before you post stupid ass comments

I was right by where coletti had his accident. looked like it was his own fault as he didnt take notice of the cars slowing down in front for the safety car. Scary accident.

these people need to learn how to drive in the rain
The reason why some of the cars was slow was:
Cold weather + rain + wind + too cold for the engines
So when the engines got to cold, they went into safe mode, and that's 60km/h in 1st gear, or what it is.
That's why some of the drivers drove onto the grass, because they wanted to cover the radiators and make the engine warmer

The cars have a fail safe mode to insure that the motors do not get damaged by running to cold. Some drivers had duct tape put in front of the radiators to warm them up and others tried to run thru the grass as others have said to get the front tire to "kick up" grass into the radiator snout to block it a bit so the engine would warm up and not go onto fail safe mode. They will eventually stop running. That's what had happen to a number of cars.. Also, my prayers go out to Coletti and family f
