  • Aaahhh. Always a bit sad t see a ship coming to an end.... so many crossings... so many stories...

  • So i don't get it, the ship goes to full power to beach itself so it can be scrapped. Right?

  • Woman driver?

  • Parked like a boss

  • @SteffanLlwyd their boss tell them to beach it or he will have the engine shoved up their ass at maximum revs.

  • @Dirtboy101 Just because the engine works doesn't mean the rest of it as any life left.

  • @thesantiso You are right of course! Imagine how bad it is for the skipper: to steer a ship full ahead onto a beach, with a good engine that isn't smoking even when driven at maximum revs. Against every instinct.

  • @SteffanLlwyd instead of "aaahhh" you should have said Garrrr!!! goodbye good ol' ship!!! XD

  • Well, I guess these guys can break ships, pick bananas, or cruise through the jungle trying to stay away from the lions and other, meaner niggers. Take your choice.

  • @Dirtboy101 what part are you having trouble understanding?

Because it can still use full power doesn't mean it's a good ship.

  • Atalayizmir, what was the exact date of the beaching? In the 66 comments there is only 1 (shipspotter)mentioning the name of the vessel:Master M5 imo 5069269

This means that she was built in the Netherlands in 1960 as "Cheetah",one of the most beautiful coasters ever built! Although her masts and derricks were removed and a modern bridge was built, she managed almost 50 years until this beaching in 2009(?)She used to be completely white, with a nice wooden bridge and superb hull-lines.

  • What did you think they did with hijacked ships?
