Steve Kazmier(ski) is Chicago's last typewriter repair man. Visiting his shop at 1623 W. Montrose Avenue is like taking a walk back in time.

  • I love your video. I too love antique things typewriters are very special. I am trying to track down the rubber feet and the draw band for the early 3 row Underwood portable. I will also need to see about the platen and feed rollers being recovered. The machine has a very cool German keyboard. When you have a free moment you can send me back a message. No rush I know you are likely very busy and work hard. I wish you all the best a super service you do for others.

  • I would work there

  • I'm sorry to say that he closed down a few months ago...
