hi i was wondering about how high should one lift their knees in doing the jive. my teacher says i can lift them high as long as i dont seem to be jumping around, but i see here that you dont lift your feet very far off the ground.

Hi,
Your teacher is right in what she/he said. But, it would be unreasonable to expect a Bronze level student to achieve this with any degree of comfort. The lifting of the free leg is part of the leg action to emphasize the down action on the '2' and '4' count of Jive music. I will say even silver students have trouble doing the correct rhythmical interpretation of Jive music. Since this is a Bronze video, we only do what is appropriate for Bronze level students.
