  • To be honoust, I hate the hollywood remake. Why did they do it? I love the Swedish, original, version of Millenium way better, just with Naomi Rapace... But that's just my oppinion...

  • well Steig really wanted it to be an eye opener. He didnt expect his books to turn into movies, but what I mean is that he really wanted people to see how disgusting men can be towards woman and how many woman get mistreated, not only in sweden, but all over the world. Rape is disgusting and never, in any way, acceptable, but society simply see's it as another act in another day in another life. Glad fincher made it unbearable, I hoped everyone in the theater felt something...

  • @AngusYoungForMayor All of the above.

  • This was the scene of what of the two rapes, the oral or the anal one? Or was it the scene of the revenge?

  • Music doubles the horror.

  • Omg....this scene was awful but very true. Just think of how many people have been victims of this kind of sadicious act. In the words of Lisbeth Salandar, those predators are "sadistic pigs, perverts, and rapists"!

  • @Carefree0101 Me as well!!! This was so well done on her part. I was so mad that she lost a Golden Globe to Meryl Streep. :(

  • Ugh... I have a strong stomach but this scene almost made me keel over...

  • Probably one of the few major films to truly depict rape as horrible and disturbing as it is in reality; I really had to try to not shut my eyes throughout. So glad it wasn't sugar-coated, too many films present rape as a minor event when it truly is something disgusting and horrifying, and should never be seen as anything else.
