This is a video showing a router mounted in a Torchmate CNC cutting system. We used the Torchmate Probe Sensor to duplicate the part and then cut it from foam.

  • What is the lithograph potential?

  • @gregoryscottsr If you could call in to our office and ask for Andy, you can discuss this in more depth. 866-571-1066.

  • What type of foam are you using? Obviously you have a vacuum system running but I am impressed by how clean it is.

  • It think that it is just a sheet of rigid insulation from Home Depot.

  • With what did you paint the styrofoam

  • We never painted it. The original pieces that we scanned into the computer were made of plastic. I really don't know how our customers finish up the models that cut from foam. Sorry!

  • @mefliz It's easy to do - just coat with pva glue then you can spray it with most primers, etc. If you were to spray it without coating with PVA you'd probably end up dissolving the styrofoam.

  • what tool is that for this material ?

  • yeah its hard foam

  • how long did it take to machine this whole thing?
