http://www.pianowithwillie.com -- Learn how to play this killer groove and bassline. I cover all the sections of the song step-by-step. We then move into improvisation and I will show you which scales to use for improvisation. Playalong tracks are included to make it easier to practice.

Now I still need to make it sound decent..

  • @ai1888 well if you really wanna learn it , you can by watching the vid

  • Already learned a new voicing for V7#5#9 chord just from watching 30 seconds of this! Thanks for posting Willie. Well worth it.

  • :)

  • you are the mike jonston of piano!

  • THANK YOU!

  • I'm finally convinced that you are the online teacher for me.

  • if its the same scale but just starting in a different part of the scale why do we have to play dorian for the Eflat7 and the other one for Aflat7?

  • there's some good stuff in here but i think you're approaching this from a much more jazz angle than the actual song calls for. if you listen to the track, there definitely aren't any funky jazz scales or major sevenths in there. it's much more blues scale based and dom 7s. it's more funky than it is jazzy. good lesson on a more jazzy approach though, thanks for the tips!
