Rihanna was abused by Chris Brown but thought he would change.
Raye Dawn was abused by Lance Briggs but thought he would change.
Both men had stormy childhoods and went on to abuse women.
Raye Dawn thought once she left Lance her life would be better. The 8 to 10 times he beat her wore her down to the point that she had very little hair left on the top of her head once she went back home to her mom and dad. When she gave birth to her daughter Kelsey Smith Briggs, she only wanted to protect her from Lance. When abuse allegations began from Lance and his family, Raye Dawn focused on saving her daughter from Lance's abusive family. She didn't know a pedophile had snuck into her life. Raye Dawn then lost her child, the true love of her life to the man she thought was different, Mike Porter.
