Realism was not the goal here by Hitchcock...this is much more impressionism, requiring the viewer to react to the presentation from the visual and audio cues given. Movies today with too much GCI lack imagination and render the viewer useless. Get your brains working, kiddies!

bad acting,unrealism(stabbed what 6 times and was still able to stand and grab the curtain?!?!?),its easily seen that hes not stabing her,and the stabbing sounds like an apple being softly chewed.
YET STILL A HELL OF A GREAT SCENE!!!
