No it's not that, it's when you play a song on Rock Band, it amplifies the instrument you're playing. For instance, when you play Bass, you notice the bass more than you would if you didn't play bass because they turn up the volume.

i've noticed that for some of the country songs on this track pack they turn up the volume of the guitars so you can really hear what your playing. it sounds great that way,
