http://malibumentor.com - Loren Woirhaye shows how to use the free Notepad++ editor to insert a hard carriage return in your emails so they can be viewed on the widest range of email readers. He recommends 60 letters per line because that averages to about 10 words which is the easiest number for the human eyes to scan. Just check most novels and other popular books and you'll see: 10-12 letters per line is a standard for readability.
