Apparently the music is an old Isaan folk song, but sung in Thai.

I studied Thai dance in Bangkok for 2 years and sadly I never saw such a beautiful & moving Likay performance... what a gem you filmed there, thanks for posting this! You can see the dancer's passion, the way he ignores the traffic & noise... I also agree with Aznthai that Thailand (like Vietnam, China and ALL the rest)is slowly losing its fantastic culture, and the kindness & gentleness that made it famous.

thailand is an amazing place, people ans culture.its a shame people think thai is famous 4prostitution isn'nt bcos thailand ur well known and its true dat other country have dis problem.many other country aswell.not just thailand!!!! it makes me made wen people think of it dat way,y not phillipin or china etc..

who are living in the big places of thailand smile about them , and making the bad work , i hate this on thailand , that they are poor, but that the tradition is lost at some thai peoples!And that thailand tourists dont want to see it , because they come to make something other!and that´s what must be cancel in thailand , with the many Prostituation there !Its not beatiful , other country have this , too , but thailand is very famous for this !

this is the traditional thai , but people who are living in towns like bangkok or pattaya, wont going the traditional way of thailand !

Thai people don't really value this type of thing...they should. I think Likay is very traditional and very beautiful but no one cares except foreigners visiting Thailand.
