I've been trying to describe te sound of the elk bugle to friends ever since I visited Estes Park, CO. It's haunting. Thank for the video.

it looks like they are surrouned by thick pines. that made the bugle sound so so amazing. add the fact you can see its breath...makes it that much better.

come on trophyhill, what would be the challenge there, this is in a national park, I get these guys in my back yard all the time. I thought hunting was supposed to be the challenge of stalking a wild animal, not shooting them in a pen.

if you listen closely in Lord of the rings, the sound made by the Ring Wraiths when they are chasing all the hobbits is an elk bugle combined with a few other sounds

It is actually right in the middle of the Canadian Rockies. Next time I will try to get the mountains in the back ground too. But y a have to be careful, horny elk don't like anything anywhere near their cows
