thanx man, very well explained

Thank you very much! This really helped me with my school assignment. :)

Once again, awesome awesome video! You have a knack for explaining and doing demonstrations. Please keep it up! I will buy an Oscilloscope if I can find a used one for cheap, if for nothing else than to play with it. I'm sure I can find some great uses in automotive diagnostics though.

How do I connect a signal
Generator to the scope & how does it help debug a fault in a circuit ? And is it possible to measure 230v AC straight from the wall outlet if I power the oscilloscope through an isolation transformer?

I enjoy watching this video. I love to have a oscilloscope at home. This device helps you to understand the properties of alternating current. There's a whole lot you can learn with the help of tools and a good teacher like you! You Tube Rules!!!

very nice clear and easy to understand thanks very much
i hav a question: if AC is changing polarity so frequently does it mean that in the power outlet the polarity keeps on changing? i.e. the positive pin become negative and vice versa 60 times in a second?

@fromAtheism2Religion Yes you will have +120 and -120 volts to the neutral wire 60 times per second.
