47818 on the Up Sleepers, 22nd September 2008

Class 47, 47818, was called in to do the Sleeper service from London Paddington, to Penzance on Sunday night (21st). The train then returned on Monday night, seen here at Newton Abbot Station, 01:20hrs, on Tuesday morning, 22nd September 2008

The old sulzer returns!! Very rare to see a 47 hauling a sleeper service, sounds like this 47 substituded a 57.

Shame I aint in penzance tonight though, as back to back Power Cars are dragging it to Plymouth then the 47 is going to be turned at Laira as at the moment the 'london' end of the Duff has a problem with its TWPS

Spoooooooooooon. Nice to see 818 produce as it only just made it back in to traffic recently, we didnt think it was going to. Also nice to see rabbit produce for a late night bash when no one can see him - or so he thinks!!
