This is a deadly pattern for a cranefly. Craneflies are found on nearly every trout stream that I have fished. They are a very important food item especially on the Pennsylvania streams. I have also had great luck tying them larger on western rivers as well. I had a great few days on the Madison River last August using them as an anchor fly.
