  • @mammaonline and did not have it, that was another reason the fight did not happen. in truth, both "fighters" we unprofesssional and did not appear to want to back up the talk that took place. as i have been saying in these forums all along, this fight was not the main event or even a big event for kapmma! we have our own champions who brought the house down with grest knockouts and subbmissions. the novell/mo bout was nothing more than an experiment. it turned out like we thought it would.

  • @mammaonline i am a student of the promoter and a member of the staff of kapmma! the fight was scrapped for several reasons. first, novell failed the pre-fight physical! second, because he failed the physical, the 2 "fighters" attempted to come up with "rules" they both agreed on. after coming up with those "rules", sensei mo showed up at 7:30 for a 8 o'clock fight! he mingled about like he was a star until the promoter told him to go to his dressing room. because the both needed head gear..

  • @genious4real i like that word functional. it applys to more then form. if u ask me self, function should be understood first.

  • According to NJSACB this fight was scrapped. I'm assuming The Black Taoist decided to not show up...again.

  • @eighttripalm3 2) say it does not work in the street, but if they saw shotokan fighter Elwyn Hall, Ronnie Christopher, Frank Brennan of some of the older JKA fighters like Yahara, they would be in awe of the effectivness. In other words buddy, you are correct sir.

  • @eighttripalm3 that is true! i am at the base, a hard style karate practitioner myself. i get tired of hearing people say how karate does not work, but i understand how they came to believe that. i have said many times that most people don't train in their style in a intense enough manner to make it functional. some of that is because the teachers are not functional and another is because of the risk of a high drop out rate. if one looks at shotokan as it is taught in many schools, they would ..

  • They stop trying to execute the techniques and this is how we get the myth that it doesnt work.

  • Jus cause yall dont have the skill to execute the techniques dont hate! BGZ techniques with a different manner of execution!! If u really understood martial arts u could make this adaptation. The evolution of the sport of MMA is turning into the people who who have more skill on their feet. The problem with most mma practioners is that they have heard this holy grail thought that kung fu karate doesnt work in practical situations because they cant execute it because of the lack of skill.

  • This is the biggest embarassment to martial arts ever committed. The most ridiculous which is they are trying to validate karate and kung fu, they are using modern boxing, muay thai kicks, etc and they each style in its original form has no groundfighting. So what you will see is poor modern mma in an embarassing context. So sad, its poor 70s type of foolishness

  • HAHAHA This fuckin dude is a CLOWN.
