1999 Ground Zero Q3Test tourney hosted by CPL: Following QuakeCon 1999, CPL held their classic Ground Zero event featuring the beta version of Quake 3, called Q3Test. You will notice some differences in this version, mainly in lightning gun and font colors as well as strafe jumping. 1st place won $10,000 and 2nd got $4,000.

It's Quake 3 Test 1.08

You can't really strafe in this version because you can only link 2 jumps.

There's a big pause after jumping 2 times where third jump needs to charge.

Glad they removed it.

This must be Quake III Arena Beta 1.07 or 1.08. Definitely not 1.01-1.06 because of the color of smoke of the Rocket Launcher.
