Firework (A Cappella Katy Perry Cover)

My friend Aleen and I recently had the amazing opportunity to sing backup vocals for Katy Perry at the American Music Awards 2010. We had never heard the song until we learned we would be singing it, but we quickly fell in love with it. We sang along with a boy's chorus (from The Salvation Army's Pasadena Tabernacle Children's Choir aka TCC) and some other friends (some of which have made appearances in my previous videos) including Nicholas Helms, Jordan Allen, James Allen, and Arnold Henry-John.

Even though we provided backup vocals for her AMA performance, I wanted to stay away from that arrangement while writing my own rendition, just to keep things fresh.

@MrHunkyjunky The term "a cappella" refers to a pieces of music without any instrumental accompaniment. Occasionally, some a cappella pieces will use non-tuned percussion, but it's usually all voice.
