  • My best guess as to why this under-rated film isn't aired on TV, has to do with

    1. A politically incorrect line uttered by Reynolds' character during a holdup

    2. I don't know, either!

  • I had always heard that Jerry Reed and Don Williams were good friends. Funny...cause they're just about polar opposites...Reed was hyper and running wide open and Don was just so laid back. Two great country singers.

  • I remember seeing this movie on tv a few times in the late 70's. I wonder why it doesn't show up in reruns.

  • This was part of the closing credits after Burt reynolds thanked Deacon John Wesley Gore(Art Carney) for the car and drove off only hoping for a sequel for W W and the dixie dancekings.I still think this would play well on CMT movies especially since they have run Pure Country hundreds of times already...
