Being a Shergar fan, just curious: Anyone heard of a horse going for the lead in the derby at tatt corner and keeping it? Just over 2f left and he's 5-6l clear? Easiest ride Walter ever had, get up, hold on, enjoy the ride!

I was at Ian Baldings yard that year working as a stable lad and the Jockey on the second Glint of Gold (John Matthias) was famously quoted afterwards thinking he had won the race...........so far clear was Shergar
