Acclaimed Ethiopian film director Haile Gerima produced a movie titled "Harvest 3000" a few decades ago. The ancient practices in Ethiopian agriculture may be changing these days as agriculture becomes more productive. Ethiopians are one of the earliest people to adopt the plow...perhaps even the earliest. However, we also seem to be one of the last to abandon it. Enjoy it while it lasts...this short is taken on the road to Awassa where we encountered farmers at work, in the traditional way.
As usual, countrysiders in Ethiopia seem to be intrigued by the camera.
