@tingod99 Thank you for your understanding. However, I do see Sexual preferences other than heterosexuality as abnormal. The moment we accept it as normal, we will stop looking for a cure. If there was any possibility, I would jump to have a normal sexuality, fall in love with a woman, get married and have children. That is the main reason why I talk to people about this: Accepting pedophilia for what it is: a sexual orientation, hopefully brings us one step closer to one day finding a cure.

@Baptiste161I can only speak for my self but I came to realise I was gay when I got to about 10 and noticed that I had that warm glow feeling about some lads in my school it took me some time to realise that I was attracted to them, not really in a sexual way more like I was just fascinated by them. now at the age of 44 I can remember most of the boys that where in my infant school class but only two of the girls, so that tells me even at a very young age I was just not interested in girls

@anoniem1961 I totally agree with you, we have to accept like it or not that there are people out there that are attracted to young kids and they are not sick, they are not perverts they are just like you and me. At the moment the only people talking about this is the press and they seem to be hell bent on demonising these people and that just makes these people bottle up there feelings and never ask for help, we need to have a more adult approach to this

I am hetro, and started having sexual feelings at the age of 12, like most boys. My sexual fantasies were of older women, i.e. movie actresses, Playboy pin-ups, and so forth. Wasn't interested in girls my age, nor they in me.
So I would surmise the same is for gays. Gay men start out as gay young boys, and I bet their fantasies are about men, not other boys their own age.

@tingod99 Well,I don't think this makes me particularly brave or anything,since I'm doing it anonymously.Also,I think the media has misused the word "pedophile" to mean "child rapist",but that is not the case.It refers to the attraction to prepubersent children.Since you're gay,you know know that one's sexual orientation is not a choice, and that's my message to people:I can't control how I feel, but I can and do control how I act, and I know there's other like me who need help but can't find it

well that is very honest and brave of you to say, i do not think you are a pedophile, in my opinion a paedophile is a person that seeks out and acts upon their feelings, you have not. The same as I have at times felt like killing someone, thinking about it does not make me a killer, only acting upon those thoughts would make me one. I do not believe you have any more control over who you are attracted to than I can stop my self from being gay and being attracted to other men

@tingod99 I know, because I'm unlucky enough to share his sexual orientation. The trouble is, people only read about pedophiles who selfishly surrendered to their sexual desires, but people need to know not all pedophiles are like that. I might not be able to control the way I feel towards boys, but I can control the way I act towards them. I truly love children, and therefore put their best interest before my own sexual desires. I would never do that to them, and I hate to be like this.

@anoniem1961 but in all honesty how can you say that, how do you really know what the man is feeling, how do we know he just sees a boy who is ripe for the taking and how do we know that it could of been any young boy. people are reading into this what they want to see, i see a man who takes advantage of a young boy
