the sea water has risen 10cm in 3 years? .. the island is sinking.. or we would see it in a lot more places right? So its volcanic unstable grd..but no problemo.. I don't want anymore people in Australia.. no chance of sustainability without a stable/stagnant population.. but happy to sit down work out a plan and ultimately give all these peeps a aussie passport...==> no refugees from anywhere else for 10 years of so.. ie NO to que jumpers

I first went to Kiribati ( Christmas Island ) in 1957 at eighteen years old for nine months, on a Fleet tanker called the " RFA Green Ranger "

I visited there again in 2007 on a cruise ship and it seemed nothing had changed in fifty years....The people were still smiling, seemed happy and very friendly. I must admit that it has also brought tears to my eyes knowing they are now much closer to being being driven off their island by Global Warming!!
