pagey has always been sloppy, even a lot of the studio recordings, he just mixed the guitar down and buried a lot of it in distortion and reverb but that's what makes him sound like him. Simply untouchable guitar arranger and studio wizard, in fact maybe the best that's ever lived.

@rizzlaxl He is just too sloppy sometimes. The notes and scales he plays that are exotic blow my mind. Not the best tone live sometimes, but always the best note choices.

Kinda funny that you omitted the first version I ever heard, which was Jeff Beck's "Rock My Plimsoul" (its the same thing - LZ pulled this naming trick a few times). Cool stuff though

Saw this show- right when 1st Album came out, Zep signed a good first act!! I still remember Paul Rodgers sitting down at a wurlitzer singing `Bad Company. It was the best they ever,ever sounded. - Ready for love was AMAZING! great post Ray, -bringing back the great ones!!
