Tuscaloosa Alabama Tornado "Hell Unleashed" 4/27/2011

Video of the tornado as it touches down west of town and begins its rampage through Tuscaloosa Alabama. Sitting on the overpass (Joe Mallisham Parkway) over I59/20 I quickly had to reposition myself farther across the overpass to get away from the debris that was beginning to fall. Later i would learn that my dads church was hit and that we lost two relatives as it passed though my home county 100 miles later...My heart and prayers go out to the families of my home state..

3:10 ish is when its hitting the scrap yard @ 31st. street & 359.... What a damn nightmare..!!!

It's a good thing you moved from Black Warrior Pwy when you did. The tornado pretty much dropped right there & spun into a monster.

Excellent, yet horrifying footage.. Thanks for sharing it with us.
