Eric Pickles on local councils and cuts (16Jan11)

Conservative Eric Pickles talks about the wasteful local councils who under Labour, p1ssed money up a wall on such cr@p as diversity managers, bin police, climate change officers, Twitter Tzars. Now the budgets have to be cut, they are up in arms that they have to throw people out of work.

Maybe the councils should look into the out of control pay and perks of the councillors and CEO's instead, then the amount of management, then fire all the non-jobs the councils created like the diversity managers, climate change officers, bin police. ONLY THEN can they let go od those at the very bottom.

Of course, it doesn't work like that, those at the very bottom are the most expendable, even though one manager is the equivalent of three of four people who actually d work.

Do not have sympathy for the councils, they continue to practice defrauding taxpayers, whilst claiming they have to make cuts to the little people.
