Short version. Tet đốt pháo đêm giao thừa, Vietnamese Year of the Tiger 2010 at Hue Quang Temple, Westminster, CA. A sea of people came to the temple Hue Quang to witness and celebrate new year's eve (đêm giao thừa.) There were 2 long strings of firecrackers, each hung from a corner of the temple's roof. This video shows preparation and burning of the front corner firecrackers, which took almost 2 minutes to burn. Needless to say, the crowd went crazy! For at least an hour before and an hour after, shorter bursts of firecrackers kept everyone on his or her toes, literally. http://www.lovingpho.com
