Pocket rockets from BMW and Audi go head-to-head in a drag race shoot out over the quarter mile. But which is fastest?

The BMW 1M Coupe and Audi RS3 have two things in common... Power. Each offers an identical 335bhp and 450Nm of torque.

However, they are two very different beasts. The Audi's 2.5-litre five cylinder turbo drives all four wheels via a seven speed dual clutch automatic gearbox. The BMW on the other hand has a 3.0-litre straight six twin-turbo. And it sends all its power to the rear wheels via a good ol' fashioned six-speed manual.

If you live in the snow I agree, definitely get the audi... the 1m is abit of a disappointment...even the new single turbo engine in the 135i sounds a hell of a lot better than the old n54.... the 1 m should have had a small high reving V8 or something...bespoke to the car.

Personally Id get the new 135i dct... best of both worlds

Damn, stop bitching about which one is best. If I had plenty of money I would have them both. I have been a fan/user of BMW for more than 20 years, but recently purchased a new Audi and I am very pleased, never had tested one before. The 3 main germans know how to make cars, and they all are awesome. If you should be bitching about something, complain about how crappy other cars are in comparison to germans, which IMHO are the only ones who know how to make cars.

@londonas2 lol, i prove nothing here dude, I said that i already beat a audi A6 3.0 tdi with my bmw 123d in a drag race. The six cilinder is 1/3 larger as mine his total weight isn't...btw the 123d is still the most powerfull 2l diesel (already 3 year) 120 - 200 less than 15 s , check out what car do you need to beat that. The crappy engineer has 4 rings dude :-)
