I believe what a lot of professor keen said is true and fundamentally sound. Just don't believe that those cheering in the crowd understand even 5% of what he is saying.

just remember the detractors of this movement speak with words of division,not unity,eg,the protestors are just radical socialists/ communists/ enviromentalists. The truth is this 99% movement is made up of a large diversity of people,with various life experiences/beliefs. Generally speaking, economists have lost sight of the economy or, to put it another way, economists wouldn't know what an economy was if they tripped over one. They spend their time studying the movement of money and forget that the economy is made up of people and resources. That the true wealth is those resources and the environment that they come from and yet the paradigm that they perpetuate must use up those resources as fast as possible to try to maintain or increase profit levels.

Probably not the best time or place for an academic lecture stevo. A more political speech about the equity of austerity backed by sound economics would of made better sense. What you needed was some good old fashioned rabble rousing, The number trillion usually pisses people off ;) for example...

"The zombies print trillions, get paid billions and pension funds loose millions" Needs work I admit, but short of inciting violence I'm out of ideas :(
