Overdrive Shootout (Part 1) Zendrive, Tim, Menatone, Keeley

Part 1 of 2. An 8 pedal overdrive shootout. Fuzz Face clone, Zendrive 1 at 12 volts, Tim at 12 volts, SIB Varidrive on gain setting with JJ ECC81 tube, Menatone King of the Britains (newest version), Keeley modded Boss Blues Driver, MI Audio Blue Boy Deluxe, Danelectro FAB Metal, Ibanez TS7 modded to TS808 specs. Baseline rig sound is a Prairiewood Les Paul with Wolfetone Dr. Vintage pickups running through 2 bypass loops and 3 delay pedals (one Memory Lane is always on), into a Holland AC30 clone (in half power mode)into a 65 Amps cab with a Celestion Alnico Blue and a Celestion G12H30. No recording devices, just whatever the camera picks up. Hopefully this will help people a bit when choosing between overdrive pedals. Thanks!

DA Fuzz Face clone - is it a kit or some brand? Germanium or silicon?

@koolami268 I'm not sure...I got it from some guy on ebay. It looked like he just built it from a schematic. It was germanium. :-)

When you do a overdrive shootout, you really need to take out the other effects like delay or reverb.

@ctomerlin1 lol They were off! They're all in true bypass loops, which hardwires them out of the signal chain. That intense reverb you're hearing is because I totally failed by doing this demo in a huge empty church. Great for choirs...not so good for hearing overdrive nuances. hehe I've since learned. Thanks for the comment!
