@CptNickk Sorry there, not compare Glenn to Schiff. It's like comparing a vintage Port to the stagnant water ... By the way, the world of music live in a week of mourning for the death of the better interpreter of Bach of all time, the great Gustav Leonhardt. Please do not talk about the mediocres, that instead of enhancing the memory of Bach, the defile. Listen him and learn to listen, too, Bach in all his splendor

@GBADCD I would have answer back at you but you have a limit in your imagination snd you are not open-minded. You obviously see that from the others opinion. You dont have to be a mimic of Bach to be good, you must express your self in the music... That 's what makes Schiff and Gould so spledid pianist.

@CptNickk LOL. Comes from the heart? Imagine a killer play Bach. In this case, one mason. They put on You Tube, the Sokolov playing the Goldberg Variations. Listen and compare. But is there any comparison???... Schiff and Perahia, the worst pianists to play Bach, of all time. Of course, Glenn is the best.

@GBADCD man you missing the point! He is playing from his heart!!! He feels the notes surround him!!! He is not just playing the Goldberg Variation...

@CptNickk Please do not make ne laugh. Do you think this carpenter plays fast? Lol. To me, he suffers from arthritis in the fingers.

This is not better than Gould's version. Good but certainly not better.

@CptNickk Schiff*
This is marvelous. The only performance of this work I know that really rivals Gould's, by being utterly different and setting its own terms, and then executing them with enormous spirit and conviction. Thank you for posting it.
