Mr Lau's last great speech at
Mei Foo , magnificently delivered -- but too late to turn the tide.
Abandoned by his usual supports, Mr Lau lost his bid for
re-election on September 7th.
Let's wish him luck in the future.
Out of Legco, a great orator, he can still wield his magic at the negotiation table.
