Super video Courageous and Honest!
Its always disappointing when some spoiled, rich, white kid who aspires to be a developer like BANKROLL310 (that name says it all) makes insults and calls peoples names. He can try to distract concerned citizens from the issue of destroying humble family neighborhoods for greed but he will not succeed as long as there are talented filmmakers out there who tell the truth.

Ok... Ok... take it easy Michael Moore. This building will offer people affordable housing in a good neighborhood. I think that the real issue behind all the "sound effects and cheesy setups" is that you are worried about the quality of people moving in. The development of this building would bring multiple jobs, and add money to the local economy- far outweighing a over dramatized a potential traffic inconvenience. So take it easy drama queen. This is Los Angeles (BIG CITY) not the midwest.

Kudos on speaking the truth. It's unfortunate the LA City Council doesn't listen to its constituents and no wonder the middle class is leaving LA in droves. Rosendahl has truly let his District down big time by not standing up for his constituents. He's all talk and NO action. You should sue the City since that's what it takes to make anyone on the Council take notice. We need to vote for people who actually LISTEN!!!

This property was "Ellissed" on 6/24/2006 -- meaning, renters were evicted from the five bungalow units, which had been under the city's Rent Stabilization Ordinance.

Excellent, honest reporting.
25 units crammed into a tiny lot where there were once 5 units. There are only 25 parking spaces! Does anyone believe each unit will only have one resident? Beverly Hills this area is not. Every unit will have 2 or 3 residents. Where will the additional 25 (or more) cars be parked? On the neighbors lawn?
More smog, less parking. What a dangerous mess.

This video is great and it tells the truth.
Not only are the city officials and the "greedy developer" destroying a community but someone is going to get killed with that dangerous ally parking situation -- it's a matter of time... and the law of averages. When that tragedy happens there will be a devastated family and a money-hungry developer and ignorant city with a crippling lawsuit on their hands.
What a shame.

hmmm.... then make it a 1-way alley?

Sensational video!
"White people complaining about their ritzy neighborhoods"??? What an inflammatory LIE. This neighborhood has Latinos, Blacks, Indians, Asians, Eastern Europeans, and Middle Easterners.
Just ask the 99 year-old Mexican woman Margaret who lives directly across from the building who watches the RICH WHITE DEVELOPER destroy her ethnically diverse neighborhood every day.
You want inflammatory? Here you go:
SAVE THIS NEIGHBORHOOD FROM THE GREEDY WHITE DEVELOPER!
The long-term impact of this greedy eyesore will be more devastating to the community than an earthquake. Wake up city planners!
Outstanding reporting.

Thanks! Amazing video. Why would the city allow this monstrosity to be built? It's going to do severe damage to this beautiful family neighborhood.
