Woooow!!!! Okay, I'm a first class nerd that use to watch Unsolved Mysteries & check out books on UFOs, sea monsters, & Bigfoot all the time. I hadn't yet seen this promo, but I distinctly remember my sister saying the week before this premiere, "There's some show called X-Files coming on. You might like it." When I finally saw the promo, I flipped & got the sense that the X-Files was going to be something different from anything on TV @ that time. What an X-perience, man! Thanks for posting!!!

każdy odcinek jest zajebisty to najlepszy serial jaki w życiu oglądałam.

They were both so young here, and while they didn't quite have a grasp on their characters yet, the chemistry was there right from the get-go. No one could have predicted how big the series would become and what a following it would have - and how many MSR shippers there would be!

Wow! Thanks for posting this. I was in sixth grade when the X-Files premiered, and I remember picking up the TV Guide issue about all of the new fall shows and thinking this one looked amazing. Watched the premiere with my eyes covered half the time because I was so scared. But I was hooked from then on. The X-Files was a huge part of my life growing up.

Right now I'm on the 7th season (rewatching the show since april 2011 or something).

Man, the show changed a lot in its style. Watching at the pilot now, it looks kinda Twin Peaks on steroids (not that that's bad)

anyways, great show, probably one of my top 5 shows ever, and I watched like 10000 of series the past 10 years :P

@EdwardxStros good...by now you might be on season 2 or 3 like me and my sis....but remember.....keep on chugging through season's 1-5 and you might want to put your "fight the future dvd" case in between the season 5 and 6 box''s cus thats when that "movie episode" takes place :)

and of course there's the not so good 2nd film which actually takes place after the first movie and entire series

I was only 9 when this first aired, but I loved this series from the start. My uncle would tell me not to watch it but the themes were just too interesting to stop. It was scary at that time, but it's still very thrilling even today.

There should be more sci-fi series like this, with believable characters, clever scripts and thought-provoking plots. Today there's little on TV to match the quality of this series, especially the first seasons.
