I do have one question that I can't seem to get an answer for, can you or is it advisable to subsoil in the spring if you still have compaction?
-
@2fast65 ya it's not meant to move much top soil,,,helps in eliminating erosion that way. There is a few farmers these days looking back at ripping a field once every 4-5 yrs
-
@2fast65 It helps break up compacted soil, improving drainage, plant health, etc.

what is the purpos of diging so deep it dose not even seem like it is even rolling the topsoil just wondering not being a smart ass.

Another product from John Deere not made in the US. Yep, this one is from Moneterray Mexico on the 2100 serial number. From this we bought a Blu-Jet Subsoiler and its outperformed my neighbors 2100 in addition to not being over priced and made by american hands in Nebraska.

@lskevron Ohh, that makes more sense now.
-
@ureonmyhitlist They're a JD dealer in Illinois and southern Wisconsin who own 17 stores now and keep buying the competition.
-
@lskevron What is a sloan?

We run a 5 shake over all of our bean ground and its an awesome tool to use!
How deep? Looks like maybe 14-16 inches? It appears to pull very nicely.

@sixstringfretter 16" as I recall, and it was a huge load. Hitting a hard spot would nearly throw you into the steering wheel.
