Caught! Richard Dawkins falls on his own Sword!

Richard Dawkins was a guest at the Q and A show.

Certainly a lot of religious people were posting questions to him, however he falls on his own sword.

It's unfortunate that the ABC has censored it from the downloaded material, but I have copied and pasted that material from the transcript.


Why is Atheism has been given a bad name? Even Atheists around the world despise Richard Dawkins. Here is why.


1. We're told Religion, not human sinfulness, but Ideology, leads to evilness. Logically. Strange we look towards a biologist for logic, rather than a physicist or engineer. Ok.


2. The question is then posed about Boat People. What to do with them. Everyone on the panel has an opinion, they attempt to solve the problem by 1. being humanitarian and 2. without neglecting resources of it's own citizens, the people that pay for the welfare of the country.

Lets listen to their responses, Some of it is cut out, just to get to the juicy part, Richard Dawkins Response.

3. No contribution to the debate. No opinion.

People this is what no "ideology" is. No realistic solution to the worlds problems.

No Comment.
No Opinion.
No workable Solution.
No Moral Ethics discussion.
Nope just saying, everyones made a nice suggestion. It's very typical of Dawkins.

Not all atheists are like this. But Richard Dawkins loves to point out in history on all the wrongs of Religion, does not admit the wrongs of Atheism.

The Reason why humans succeed is because we learn from our Mistakes and make changes to it.


My Message to Dawkins.
It's not about being Correct that makes us right. It's about Solutions that Many Ideological people have given their lives up for, to make this a better place.

Jesus gave his life, for the sins of the world. Amongst the cruel roman civilisation, he taught people forgiveness, just as God has forgiven you when you believe in Christ.

Forgiveness is unjust but made a huge contribution to the world. Atheism fails at justice. Just removing Religion does not resolve the problem of street violence. If you need to fix problems you need to be aligned to ideology.

Richard was perfectly in his right to decline from commenting on something he knew nothing about. Nor did he say that he was unmoved by the situation. He just could not comment on something that he has no information about.

He is a brit, on the other side of the world, a zoologist, not a human rights worker in Australia.

If you asked a Rabbi in the USA about the life cycle of british bats and he said he had no opinion, would that make religion stupid?

Dawkins was being honest.

@bb1111116 They did not do what the did because they were atheists. They didnt draw the mental pathway of "well im atheist and i believe theres no god so i have to do these horrible things to get power." They did what they did in the name of communism and what they felt was the proper way to lead their countries. Theres a difference between having a belief (or not having a belief) and then doing something bad, and actually doing something bad BECAUSE of that belief.

I am a theist and I fully agree that obviously Dawkins, who usually comments way the hell beyond his level of competence was right to beg off on this one. He says enough utter nonsense in supporting mindless materialism, views that show up in analysing his mindless materialist answers.
