In honor of Tom Snyder and for the sake of historical interest.

An interesting recording from early 1979 during which Tom Snyder discusses life extension techniques with Durk Pearson and Jerry Pournelle. This information could save your life! Or maybe not.

I was only able to record the second half of the show at the time. The benefits of Choline and Lecithin are discussed, as well as the need for Thymosin to battle immune deficiencies. Durk describes how he fights baldness. The benefits of B12 are described. Life extension is described as a battle against evolution.

Has Durk aged? Of course. He only says you could possibly slow it down. The proof of life extension remains to be seen. I've followed alot of his recommendations and formulations and I can say they do what they claim to do. Physically I can do the same things I did twenty five years ago. Durk is one interesting fellow.

EVERYBODY ages & everybody poops. this is about physiology, not being a brazilian supermodel on rio beach. anti-aging=science/free radical theory of aging. it isn't about being on a top 100 hotties list.

i've followed D&S since '84 & met them in '91. they weren't bathing beauties then or now. who cares?? they're much 2 cool to care about such superficialities. they look more like cool aging hippes/bikers. not vain, wearing thongs, fussing with their hair. comprenez-vous ?

Durk remains a a person is extraordinary vision and a wealth of informed opinions on a wide scope of subjects. For many years, this great man has had a considerable influence on my life. In regard to my lifestyle choices and politics, Durk is an icon.

I remember Durk from the 70s. I had their most famous book, and I tried a lot of things they suggested (and dropped them, over cost). Taking care of yourself is smart; overdoing is a form of vanity. If most of us lived to be 150, the planet would be dead already. Still, I admire Durk's/Shaw's interest chemistry.
