For the Panzer *series* (excluding III) (First & Second clip): Fire at or near the second 'circle' that the upper tread runs along. In addition, you may fire below the shovel on the right side for some Panzers (if they have one). These tanks are weak and will usually explode after a perfect hit. For the Panzer that has armored side 'skirts', use the rule for the Panther G and Tiger I.

For the Panther G and Tiger I (Third clip Panther & Forth clip Tiger) : Fire at the underside, below the spot where the barrel and turret meet. A minimal of two shots at a close distance with perfect angle are required to take down these tanks due to armor.

For the Panzer III (Fifth & Sixth Clip): Fire center of the underside, below the iron cross on either side. In addition, you may fire below the little black circle on the right side. This tank is weak and will usually explode after a perfect hit.

For the Stug III (Seventh & Eighth Clip): Fire between the two front 'circles' that the upper tread run along. In addition, you may fire below the iron cross. This tank is weak and will usually explode after a perfect hit.

Surprisingly, armored vehicles (Final clip) that transport infantry are the most difficult targets. I believe this is to prevent good usage of the PTRD from constantly gathering upward six-kills per vehicle kill. To make up for the lack of a 'sweet spot', the armored car can be hit ANYWHERE to deal at least 'some' damage to it, and usually at any angle. Note, I have shot all over the side of the armored car for a critical hit and have found none. If you know of one, please tell me!

  • @tinmaptd yes, it's chambered in 14.5x114mm, bigger than the .50BMG round.

  • @smoraptor

I've constantly shot Krauts with the PTRS before, all I could do was grin and wish that the physics were real. If they were, there's be many of them without a face/torso.

  • could this gun be effective against helicopter now and days?

  • This weapon is useless most of the times, in Arad your allies kill enemy tanks before you even scratch them, and enemy tanks mow you with machinegun. Or you waste all your ammunition and still not killing tank.

  • @AnonymousCthulhu i want to know how to disable because when you are prone and realoading, they can turn around pretty fast and get on mg and take you out. if i disable, they can get out and fight which i will take pistol out. second is turn turret to kill me but i will get to tank extremely close because they cannot reach you and take them out or they will get annoyed and get out and ill take them out.

  • @halo56822 If you were up close and hitting these spots and still not causing fire or destruction, then try backing up or aiming lower. Your shot may be passing the internal reserves that cause the damage. Even I have noticed that you have to get the angle decently right to deal damage.
