I got really excited when I learned that the main character in this game will be a soldier. Not because of his attacks or any of that crap but because I'm sure soldiers see some pretty twisted things on the battlefield. And the more fucked in the head you are, the more intense SH becomes.

The movie actually was visually very close to the games as was the suspense and other elements. Some things looked exactly like the game,- but it was made to be composite of the games rather than being based on thefirst game only, but there were a few elements they should have kept, i.e. the Order's real reason for burning Alessa.

I personally don't mind that they are borrowing some elements from the movie which I found cool. (the falling stuff being ash not snow, the real time transition).

Watching this now I find it incredible that Konami handed one of their most prestigious franchises to these hapless goons! I dont think any of them had the faintest idea about how to create a Silent Hill game,so they reverted to what they know best,creating sub par 3rd person shooters.

I'm glad the suits at Konami are finally thinking out of the box and have handed the franchise to a new,fresh developer,who hopefully will deliver a game worthy of the title Silent Hill.

@1xCloudStrifex1 Well Team Silent is gone, they won't be bringing 1990's games out to the 2010 world. The sooner you realize that the better, and it would probably help to realize how shitty Final Fantasy is as well.

@InsideTheMirror thats right, team silent knows how to do it right, americans dont(with the exception of origins which retained the atmosphere)yea, evolving to SHIT. and the story for homecoming was rubbish, character were lame, and the story and alex saying every 5 seconds "WHAT DID YOU DO!?" is quite frankly garabe...plus the music wasn't scary, it was generic feeling but yea. i will not bother posting back to you, since you clearly dont kno what a good SH game contains.

@1xCloudStrifex1 The fact of the matter is that most Silent Hill fans aren't fans at all but fanboys of Team Silent. No matter what happens to the Silent Hill franchise they'll still complain. Guess you'll have to wait for another tank controlled, bad voice acting, muddy Ps1 graphic, Silent Hill game but that won't happen because people rather evolve. Other than the controls, Silent Hill Homecoming was just like the others but with better controls, voice acting, graphics n controlled story.
