The story is that he thought he was going for his tazer which is why he looked shocked after he fired. I'm not defending the cop, he is a murderer in my mind.

you shooting on purpose and jumping back on purpose is still murder. As a weapons expert i can tell you that he jumped back because the recoil caught him off guard because he didnt mean to fire. as a weapons trainer i can tell you what a person looks like when they fire on accident because i saw it every week. i also know what people look like when they shoot on purpose because i saw that everyday. he didn't mean to shoot. u cant cant have murder without intent so its man slaughter.

i was in the military and know weapons. when you watch the shoot fire he jumps back after. that means he did not mean to shoot. if he meant to shoot he would have braced for the recoil and not jumped back. im sorry but this is not murder because he did not mean to shoot. it is in my opinion that it is negligent man slaughter and should receive the max. but since he is charged with murder and not man slaughter if i were on the murder jury i would vote not guilty of murder.

That would make sense but he is a relatively young officer, maybe this was the first time he discharged his weapon on duty. The first time you fire I'd expect you'd jump a bit.

I'm sorry he needs to be charged with murder. When you have a 22 year old suspect, on the ground, other officers in proximity you wouldn't need to discharge your taser. which is his defense the point of tasers is to subdue people and knock them down.
I's sad you don't see that

whats sad is that you seem to think an officer only shoots on duty. they train with weapons so that debunks your theory this was the first time he shoot his weapon. i believe he pulled his weapon on purpose. but for reasons i already explained i believe he did not mean to shoot it. its man slaughter.

WOW I didn't say it was the first time discharging his weapon in his life! I meant the first time he used his weapon AT SOMEONE. Discharging his weapon at someone, on duty.

i know what you meant. i still debunked ur argument. the recoil of the weapon is what made him jump. in the video you can tell that he was surprised the weapon discharged. the jump itself was a physical reaction, the look of surprise was the mental reaction.

and also after watching a more clear vid with sound what it looks like is his finger most likely slipped when he was getting up. but then the shot was fired there saw another cop in the way so you don't see the shot fired you just hear it then see his reaction. this death was caused by negligent disregard of basic weapons safety rules. therefor it is manslaughter and for that reason he may not be convicted of murder. id say he would have a better change being convicted of manslaughter.
