Premature baby miracle - 25 weeks - UPDATED July 5, 2010

http://blog.rugaardjuul.net - our daughter, Edith Marie, was born more than three month premature (25+4, 830 gram).

Second UPDATE - July 5, 2010: One year has gone by since Edith Marie was born June 13, 2009, with a weight of only 830 gram. Today she is a strong and happy child as you can see in this new video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IdNOH02kDrg

Fist UPDATE - September 28, 2009: Finally we are home again after almost four months in hospital. Edith Marie is doing really well and her weight has now passed 2600 gram. Follow this link to watch a small video from the happy day when we left hospital:

Her skin was very good for 25 weeks, she was "baby"coloured instead of red like my son was.

What a sweety! I remember holding my son's hands with two fingers! Now his hands are as big as mine almost.

I hope she is doing well, make sure you take LOTS of pictures, you'll forget how tiny she was.

I am exactly 25wks+4days today as you said you were when you had little Edith and watching this honestly makes me realise the amazing miracle that is currently giving me a good old kick in my tummy! (a little boy) Makes me sad she came out so soon but glad she is well and ok and has given me the chance to see how developed my own little one is. Thanks xxx

Omg she is so tiny.. I felt like crying seeing a baby so small. I'm glad she looks so healthy and a great color. I'm only 20weeks almost 21 now.... How is she doing now?

So that's what I looked like when I was born! Wow this is so amazing! I was born at 24 weeks and I weighed no less than 1/4 a pound from what my mother has told me in the past! But my weight would fluctuate, eventually it got up to 1lbs and 6 oz. I was also born with Asthma, I'm currently 11 years old. My diapers had to be custom made I was on a ventilator and basically lived in the hospital for 5 months. I was also fed through a tube, God bless you for this. I hope Edith is very healthy now!
