I honestly think it would be more damaging to this girl to tell her that because she's female she is unable to compete. I'm guessing that there weren't enough (if any) little girls at the tournament for her to have a real bracket or competition. So what would be better? Denying her the right to compete based solely on her sex, or allowing her to compete with the boys, while in the process proving that she need not feel inferior to them physically? btw "proper manners"? more like proper bullshit.
