I live in Frankfurt, Germany. I knew Dave here as an excellent keyboard player. He was a good mate of mine. Lovely man and a great musician. God bless!!

This was disafreakenpointing
A great song, "Joey" is Springstein-like in it's social commentary, arguably the third of a "trilogy" of songs about Geldof's Dublin life, Rat Trap and When The Night Comes being the other two.
I genuinely feel that the Rats were one of the best ever live bands, and for three years, 77 - 79, one of the most dynamic, creative and entertaining bands in the world, very underrated in the UK, it was a shame that they changed direction after their third album "Surfacing", great band, great times

The sax player was the now sadly deceased Dave McHale. The Rats song 'Dave' was written about him. The Rats always had a great brass backing in their later live appearances.
