@ftp2leta Hey I'm 20 and Dexy's are my favourite of all ever. I love them immensely! And not just because of one song, but because of all of their songs, including more obscure ones such as Breaking Down the Walls of Heartache, Let's Get This Straight from the Start, Margherita Time and Seven Days Too Long. Love them!

Every once in a while the planets align so that groups otherwise lost in the fierce fog of pop music competition are able to burst through and get noticed. That's what happened with this guy and this song. He had a very highly developed sense of style .The cockney street urchin motif of the group had some thought in it and doubtlessly lead to some notice.

I'm over 40, I was a DJ at that time, this IS a classic. You don't like shut up. It's still a classic today, some 25+ years later. It was called alternative music.. the beginning of what your listening today.
