The cat is accustomed to this. I hardly think this is the first time he's seen singing and dancing. This is what folks did in their free time back then. Do you think they ran around with boom boxes and crack cocaine? (Although, that might explain the kid with one pant leg rolled up). But seriously, people will find a way to be happy, even in unhappy times. This is no more staged than any modern family photo. It's a sample of people being who they are, doing what they do.

Holy smokes! Uncle Earl took off his watch. He must have been watching You Tube too. No kidding: I think the whole discussion is not about his Rolex, but just a loose thred on hun shirt that looks like part of a watch. Sorry Earl!

Can't help by feel bad for the kids having to live in dire poverty. But at least they had music that hopefully brought comfort. Good video.

Agreed sir. It's a piece of Americana that's incredibly good.

Please read what I said..."wrist watch", and that Rolex was "the strongest proponent of wrist watches at that time". This is fact. I'm well aware of the history involved with Swiss watch making.

Swiss watches have been around longer than rolex. Much more common and affordable. Also I can authenticate this video as I study the genre :)
