@Gantzer1 I really couldn't tell you if they have bred yet, there are so many fish in my ponds that its hard to tell, but I have not seen any smaller ones yet so I'm guessing they haven't bred.
-
@Dudits15 btw did they breedin in captivity well are they're any special things you have to get them to do to up survuval rates? Red mood light?
-
@Gantzer1 2.5lb? fat sucker aye
Yeah I have noticed in one of my ponds the gambusia are in very small numbers due to these guys.
-
@Dudits15 I just caught a 2.5lb one in a lake over here as update on that, If your like me and lived in perth spending a lot of your time down by the riverside you'd notice all the fast breeding slow moving gambesia are now dissapearing rapidly...
By next year I think perth "fresh" waterways will soon be like your dams over in qld.
-
Ah well their you go, didnt think they went that far south.
-
@Gantzer1 Yeah mate north brisbane
-
you a queensland local im guessin?
-
Yeah they are pretty aggressive. Most damns around Queensland actually have signs up saying to kill them when caught, and they are actually naturally occurring in some but there are just millions of them to go round.
what bait did you catch these on?

@123bradiscool
Prawns, really tiny bits, or you can use cooked rice.
