It is for the love of Christ that wives submit to their husbands in all things while not forsaking the first commandment.

Eph 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Eph 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

The Father has poured out his wrath for all of your husbands short comings. The Father does not condone his failures, his sin, his wrong doings but has condemned them in the flesh of His Son. The Father does not ask you to condone his failures or to "take it on the chin" as if they are unimportant or non-destructive. He asks you to look to His Son who paid the sin debt, who is worthy of your respect. Christ is the only one worthy of your love and respect. You submit to Him by submitting to your husband for that is what he has ordained.

1Ti 2:11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 1Ti 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 1Ti 2:13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 1Ti 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 1Ti 2:15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

Eph 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. Eph 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

  • actually.. a woman CAN teach, to other women that is. a woman should not be a minister but she can witness and talk to other women!

  • 1 Timothy 2:11-12: "A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silence."
