@3rdID8487 and let me tell you there is allot more from SA that's being copied .... to open a can of worms ... and i am not gonna argue but just mention it .... Apache ...machine gun and helmet look and shoot at target etc system..was also 1st developed in SA ...Rooivalk Helicopter the best but because of sanctions against SA in 80's and 90's it came to nothing but still a good match if not better than Apache ... 105 Howitzer the best and with most applications ..but it all ended 1994

South African engineers designed a 4 wheeled vehical in the late 90's with the V-shaped hull later a 6 wheel version was made & which the U.S. military upgraded & completely redesigned to suit their needs about the only thing basically the same is the V shaped hull most every thing else was redesigned. The funding for the vehical was provided to the south African Government by the U.S. to begin with. The U.S. military purchases good military equipment from other allies just like they supply it'

@777cbx because a boat has a v-hull design, does that mean that they all were copied from the Vikings? The MRAP is completly designed and made by the US. While it shares a common purpose and basic shape of another vehicle, that does not mean its a copy of that, anymore than a v-shape hull ship is a copy of the Vikings ships (or before that.)

@3rdID8487 . please. i rather not engage with an argument , lets just say to please you that its an exact copy of an SA product that has been used in SA for many years now and co indecently on Saturday i drove past one whilst on my bike for a joy ride... you will find many of these in that area being tested before being shipped out , these were built and tested even before the 1st Gulf war and was used in SA for mine clearing purposes in our war Angola , but believe in you "viking" story

@777cbx Oh I am not argueing. Shape and design for a purpose is not a copy, its just what is done, called learning and engineering for a purpose. Just like when aircraft carriers were first designed and then "copied" by every country in the world with one now.
