Would ever Ale be on time
cycling 'n Amsterdam
everybody would be clapping
but that won't happen dam!
because she's always so busy
dozen things to do
cleaning, sporting and cooking
and cycling amsterdam

you'd catch her cycling at the market
in many coffee shops
having beer at the windmill
Alessia never stops
all over Stammerda (that's an anagram of Amsterdam)
in the pouring rain
Alessia is always cycling
cycling 'n Amsterdam

she'll be planning a party
cooking dinner too
and then we'll all go dancing
as she's done with food
you've seen her drinking at the gollem
at the kriterion too
so we all are cycling

But now Alessia is finished
with her PhD
and she's got a job
at the NKI (pronounced in dutch)
no more working 'n the week end
with the cryostate

but she'll still be cycling
